Hello out there! Does anyone here think there are (and recommend particular) aromatic tobaccos that are simple and particularly good as mixers to non-aromatic tobaccos (virginias especially but maybe others)? I'm thinking of something that might have a simple flavor profile and will keep it's flavor if stored properly and will augment other tobaccos.

Burley Light Without Bite (BLWB) is one of the simplest semi-aromatics that comes to mind.

Lane BCA is on its own is pretty bland but it mixes well with strong English blends to tame them down a bit and add some sweetness, I occasionally use it as a condiment.
Ehhh, I don't ever want an aromatic mixed in with my good non-aros. However, sometimes when I want an aromatic, I will mix in some C&D blender dark fired Kentucky with a Rattrays Orange or Holger Dansk mango aromatic. It makes it a little creamier tasting and adds some nicotine.
Yeah, maybe it’s better to think of it the other way around. I just got some Sutliff Stoved Virginias, although it’s a bit light on the nicotine. I just have the problem of trying to keep the house smelling nice but I’m moving away from aros that don’t have some tobacco taste behind them.
I don't find that aromatics make the house smell any better in the long run. They tend to turn acrid overnight. Never have I found that if I smoke a fruity or Vanilla-y aromatic that the aromas stays as fruity or Vanilla smelling for very long.
I find that a quality Virginia leaves a much more pleasing aroma. YMMV
My wife seems to like English even better but I just started smoking them so I don’t know about the odor they leave in the long-term. Some Virginias can smell like cigarettes to my wife. I’ve been smoking Skiff and Timm 1000 and I think these have a pleasing room note. But I know English are said to be just the opposite of pleasing. I’m waiting to crack open a tin of Holly’s discovery.
I like the way "some" latakia mixtures can smell in a room. Some can add a leathery smell that I find pleasing.
Burleys... forget about it. Ha ha, they just stink, unless you're smoking a heavily cased one... then, you might as well be smoking an aromatic.
Regardless of what we think, your wife will have to be the final arbiter. I don't smoke indoors, but I've made myself open to comments/criticism about how any of my tobaccos make me smell. Thus far, she hasn't objected to anything nearly as much as the Blackjack gum I sometimes like to chew afterward. 
For me the aromatic that's great as a mixer - Sutliff Molto Dolce (and its bulk counterpart Crème Brûlée).
Adds additional sweetness & ramps up the room note to any blend I find a bit boring on its own.
Another one I've discovered lately - Sutliff Chocolate Mousse.
Mixed it with some C&D Crooner that had dried out a bit too much so the deer tongue had lost its oomph - delicious!
The classic aromatic for mixing - Rum & Maple Blend No. 53. Advertised as "Good by itself; good as a mixer."
AFAIK still sold by Planta in Germany.
Rum and Maple blend 53 is now produced by Mc Baren. It might be better than before, I didn’t like the Planta version. I had some 45 years ago and i remembered it as a remarkable good tobacco.
My wife doesn't like the smell of Latakia blends she says it smells like stinky old man BO mixed with stinky old man cigarettes (which after researching I found out means halfzware style RYO like Drum, with dark fired).
She likes the smell of Sutliff gooper aros, and unflavoured straight Virginia/Virginia Oriental blends.
She usually doesn't mind me smoking in the car but made me put out my Gawith Dark Scented Flake because she said it made her eyes sting and tear up (yes the windows were open).
I just can't accept the idea of mixing any aromatic with a non-aromatic. It is kind of like asking what screen door works best with my submarine.
I have used a small dash of black cavendish to turn a blend into more of a crowd pleaser.
It’s never occurred to me to try and make what I’m smoking smell better. Taste better to me, yes. Simple mind that I am.
I’ve tried mixing things like C&D Green River Vanilla, Apricots and Cream, and Berries and Cream into strong burley and burley blends. I haven’t smoked enough of those concoctions to have an opinion though. I’ve never tried it with Virginia.
I tried something new last night: a bottom layer of Green River Vanilla, middle layer of C&D Dark Burley, a top layer of C&D White Burley. It was interesting, you get the strength of the burley flavors with a little vanilla throughout. When you get to the vanilla it’s so soft and sweet after the rustic burleys. It was fun to experience the clear transitions.
