This Castello rusticated Apple shape with military style stem and epoxied foil dot (many thought it to be a diamond or rhinestone) made for the USA market is a handsome pipe. Keeping it smokey with Mac Baren Club Blend Roll Cut.

So back before they switched to the white bar. This is when Wally Frank was importing them and he was using the white bar as his logo, correct?
I learned that from Country Squire Radio Podcast!

That's one of those apples that could pass as a prince. I have a Dr. Grabow Royalton, nice little pipe, that is sold as an apple but looks even more like a prince than yours. I suspect that the Dr. Grabow people thought the prince moniker was too fussy for a Dr. G. Either way, it's a nice little briar with an acrylic stem. I have a Johs, an extra large, that I took for a brandy but found, on the invoice, Johs called an apple -- so apple it is. My wife spent her working career in NYC, and gave me this pipe for a gift, so I call it my Big Apple.

I love how flexible shape designations are. (no sarcasm implied) Would have pegged that one as a squashed tomato. Love the finish on that one.

If it were a bit more pushed down I would agree with the squashed Tomato chasingmembers, but had the shank been straight rather than the military application the I would have called it a Prince as mso489 stated. It's a tough call on shapes at time unless ther is a shape number designation on the pipe listed in the makers shape chart or if it were a commission from a Pipemaker, regards.
