I recently purchased this 'AMBORY' pipe on eBay. Underneath it says LONDON MADE (in capital letters). Based on the hallmark, the silver was made by Henry Comoy in 1913-14. What I find interesting, is on the otherside, it says "FABRIQUE EN ANGLETERRE" which I believe is French for 'Made in England.' Is this because Henry Comoy was a Frenchman who emigrated to London? I've tried doing some research on it but I can't seem to find out too much. I have never heard of this brand and would like to know some of the history of it, if possible. Most likely, I'm going to be sending it out on Monday to get restored.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
