AKB Yellow Coloration in New Pipe?

Hi All,

I picked up a new pipe from AKB Meerschaum. I noticed some dust inside the bowl, which I did not get with my IMP Meerschaum pipe. Upon closer examination I noticed a yellow coloration on the inside of the bowl and stem. Is that normal for AKB? It's new and unsmoked so it's not coloration or anything. I picked it up as a budget pipe to use to and from walking to work. Happy with the overall design but not quite sure what the yellow color is from.

Possibly remnants of the Bee’s Wax they often use to coat Meerschaum Pipes?

The carvers pee in the bowls to make the material softer and easier to work with. Your carver must have been somewhat dehydrated.

On a serious note, who knows and don't be concerned unless there is a significant concentration. It's probably a little bit of dust from polishing after applying the wax.

Oh I see, didn't realize they coat the inside of the bowl as well. It's only my second Meerschaum. In the IMP tonight I put through some captain black dark, Blairgowrie, and some Balkan Flake. It was quite a nice night.

Good choice of blends, they compliment the taste of stale urine rather nicely

Before you know it the world will be flooded with Chinese knock off Dunhill pipes and 'Chelly' Pipe tobacco. Civilization as we know it will have ended!

@condorlover1 I've smoked Captain Black Grape in a clay pipe - and I like it! I don't speed smoke at re-enactment; it was just a response to the YouTube video!
When the weather gets better I'd like to see how long I can make a clay pipe of baccy last...
My best time is about 45min; I usually get between 10-15min.

I never tried Captain Black before and it was the only thing in the local store here. I also got some MacBaren Choice. I was actually pretty happy with it, vanila and cocoa in the CB Dark, not bad actually. How is the grape? They have that too but I wasn't sure about trying it.
