No photo - I have a pipe that features a simple threaded metal tenon that twists directly into an ivory stem. It arrived separately and I worry that twisting and removing for cleaning will eventually destroy the inner negative threading of the ivory stem
Should precautions be taken like rubbing the metal with some wax or lubrication? Do you think that will help or just build gunk up
