ACS Relay For Life.

I want to start this off first by saying I did get proper permission before posting this. :D
I will be a part of the American Cancer Society's "Relay For Life" this year. My family has been hit hard these past 2 years by cancer, having my 2 year old nephew diagnosed with Wilms and my Brother-in-Law with Kidney Cancer. Over my life there have been many more family members that have beat or have been beaten by Cancer. I am asking for donations this year so that the research they are doing can keep going and growing. FYI The ACS along with other national organizations bankroll campaigns dealing with state and local anti-smoking legislation they are in DIRECT CONFLICT WITH OUR ISSUES! 8O

while this may be true.. .and I certainly support our right to smoke.... In my case at least.. I have to consider the good vs the bad... Having a mother, father, two grandparents that died of cancer... I am anxious for a cure....

I understand your concerns Dave. I also know they are big into anti-smoking campaigns, with that said they also help with breast, pediactric, testicular and cervical cancers. I feel that helping them find a cure will benefit society as a whole. I believe in the big picture, not my own island.
