Cigrmaster, I haven't opened one of my year 2000 tins in over a year now. Guess I should at some point and see what color it is, now. The last time I opened one was in Oct. of last year and I could still see some of the blonde color in the tin. I probably smoke 6 or 7 tins of it last year, and the tobaccos were still fairly colorful, slightly browner than originally, with lots of sugar crystals. I wonder why mine still had color?

A question that hasn't been raised in this thread - How do you, who have had both, compare the pre '03 (or '02) 3N to Peter Heinrich's Special Curly? I struggle to see any difference at all.

Jpberg, I honestly see very little difference either, except perhaps the Three Nuns of that time was very slightly sweeter, Virginia-wise and perhaps slightly tangier. Not much of a difference really. Wessex made a clone that had some kind of topping that kept it from tasting like Three Nuns.

Makes sense. I have a feeling that your taste buds are a bit sharper than mine, Jim. I got the sweet, but missed the tang.

You remind me that I have a 200 gram tin of the Curly Cut from 2002. I wonder what it's like now? Gotta wait because I have too much open stuff already. Anybody smoke it recently? I'd like to know what it's like now.
