This week’s Sunday EBay sweep so bad, with everything selling high, that I decided to check how the English were doing… 5 minutes later and I stole two great pipes from them :
A 1940s Peterson

And this Meer beauty(I am not a big Meerschaum collector but I want to have 1 really special one):

Could you fine gentlemen try to give me a boost in my research, if you recognise a brand or potential year, country of origin maybe? I can do my full research, but to be honest I don’t even know where to begin on a Meer with no markings…

That's a very interesting pipe, almost like a fancy Falcon.

It’s probably Turn of The Century 1890-1910ish. As with most meers of that era it was likely made in Austria. Assigning a specific maker is nearly impossible as most of them were shipped to retailers who then branded them and fit them with silver work. There’s a possibility it could be American as well, there were a couple of big manufacturers of meer here at that time as well, like KB&B and WDC but they tended to be a lot better at branding. Their pipes are generally pretty identifiable.
