The good thing is that I have a few more like this one and plenty of other tampers. I lost another one just like it in our front garden. One day I’ll learn to use the metal detector we have and find it. I tried a couple times but I’ll be damned if I can understand that thing. WTF IS DISC/NOTCH!!!!!!Thats a bummer. I thought that too but unfortunately no. It stretched the acrylic as it broke so the pieces don’t quite fit together properly.
I’m going to round/polish the top as it can still be used as a tamper, just with no pick.

'Seems like you could incorporate the part that is still a tamper and build a different pick on the other end, if it is worth the time to you. Since you have others that are similar, it might not be worth the time. Looks like you can easily make yourself a whole new tool, if you fancy. Looks quite nifty, even in pieces.
Actually installing a pick is not a bad idea. Maybe I could heat a nail or some other metal spike and jam it home.
I think she read the forum and believed my joke about tampers. Think about how this happened less then a day latter.
