I have come across tobaccos that actually give a pleasant tongue bite. Has anyone else come across tobacco like this. Mine is Petersons Irish Whiskey

Peterson Irish Whiskey is my current favorite tobacco. Since I'm new to this, does anyone know what types of tobacco are in this blend? The tin says: A traditional Irish ready rubbed blend, Tobacco leaf from Africa, Brazil, India, and Italy, lightly flavored with Irish Whiskey. WHatever it is, I like it. Some of the aromatics are just too sweet for me. Every now and then, OK. But for a go-to smoke, I need something less sweet that has a little kick. I'm still not sure on the differences between Latakis, Perique, Virginia, etc. Any recommendations would be appreciated BIG TIME.

The Interwebs
viceroy, spend some time rummaging through the articles here on the main site--there's a great wealth of info about the different types of tobacco used (with russ ouellette as i recall) as well as some articles highlighting virginias, perique, latakia, etc. they will at least give you a good jumping off point in your education!
