A La Pipe Du Nord - Paris Pipe Store (picture heavy)

Spent 8 days in Paris and one of the highlights of the trip was visiting "A La Pipe Du Nord", met the current owner and pipe maker Marie-Aurelie Favre and purchased 3 pipes (one for myself, one for my son and one for my son-in-law).

The shop opened in 1867 and was much smaller than expected. I had a great time talking with Marie-Aurelie Favre...she is a pipe smoker, a pipe maker and very charming.

The pipes I purchased are all 150th anniversary of the store opening. They made 150 pipes of each and each pipe is stamped with the name of the store, the address and is numbered. The pipes I purchased were 79/150, 106/150 and 129/150.

The spiral staircase leads up to a smoking lounge. The wall of red boxes and cabinets are full of pipes and accessories.

I stay close to that shop when I’m there on business each spring. Great place. Your pictures bring back fond memories. Those anniversary Dublin pipes are wonderful. I think that is damn cool you got three to keep in the family. Cheers.

Sorry, no. I didn't know the smoking lounge was upstairs until right before we walked out the door. As we were saying our goodbyes she invited me to come back for a smoke.
