A Jeep Adventure!

I'll be updating this as I have time and/or signal.

We're heading up to the Cold Creek area (google it) for a day of off-road fun. Might take Wheeler Pass or we might explore trail BM15. I find it better to not fully commit until you're there.

Got my smoke kit loaded:





3 pipes, 9 blends, and 1 good cigar. It's best to have options.

I'll post some trail pics and hopefully some smoking pics in a while.

A long time ago we did a survival training there for Boy Scouts and caught trout with out hands and these little fish traps. That was over 40 years ago.

I've never checked the creek for fish but I can remember trout fishing at the ponds there. While I was sitting on the bank a group of wild horses walked about 5 feet from me right into the water and started drinking.

I am on the other side of Mt Charleston running up Fletcher Canyon at 6AM this morning it was below 80F after some rain yesterday! Then the family forced me to drive into Las Vegas: 112F! Both pics taken on the same day.

It was actually very fun for us desert dwellers who rarely experience rain.

Unless you are here in the South East….. after the rain quits, all you are left with is a sauna and the asphalt is literally steaming?
