Got up early this morning, saddled my old war horse, Titus and took a nice long ride.

I beat the heat (for the most part) but still he and I worked up a good sweat (especially he did, ha). We rode on trails that I haven't ridden in a few years and just enjoyed God's creation.

I am very fortunate and blessed and I believe it is important to take time to realize that as often as we can.

Here's a photo of my "boys" grazing on the 4th of July.
Titus is the one on the far left.

Enjoy your day, folks.

Very cool!
Having moved to our property just over two years ago, we’re still bad at making time to actually ride-between working and taking care of the horses and the property, we barely squeeze groundwork in.
But the ultimate goal is to move to your neck of the woods (roughly) once I’m not tied to securing my pension.
One foot in front of the other and seeing what the big man upstairs has in mind for now…

Oh I love horses. Had a Percheron in France named Titan. I need draft horses to ride as I am a very large man.
Stop on by.
We have Belgian mules and the Mammoth Jack donkeys that made them. Our donkeys can carry a 350 pound person all day. A couple are pushing 1300 pounds.....they're big donkeys. :)
The mules can carry much more....just in case you're a VERY large man. ;)

I sure know what you mean about getting time to ride. There is so much to do to keep a place up and taking care of the stock that if not careful, you let the best part slide out of the picture. I don't ride nearly as much as I used to but my wife still keeps up with hers pretty well.

Good luck to you with your plans and settling wherever you want to be. But through it all, make some time to "smell the roses....."

My sister has 3 donkeys but not that big. They're about 400-450lbs. I'd love to have a mule.
