I sent a very dear friend of mine a Warrior Plug along with a religious seasons greeting card in a USPS 2 Day Priority box. Anyone who has ever been on the receiving end of one of my packages knows that they come taped to the max with a very neatly typed label addressed to the recipient. To date I have never lost a package that I have sent someone by Priority Mail until now. It seems that instead of stealing the package the local postman has developed a taste for smoking 'Road Tar' plugs which in essence is what a Warrior Plug is in the final analysis. My friend sent me this picture of what was in his mail box from me! Not satisfied with nicking the plug they also made off with the Hanukkah card as well! I hope this person spends eternity in hell emptying ash trays.

Sounds like my past few boxes sent out. Three shipments of pipes and tobacco and each time I've sent something out I received a pink card in the mail from the USPS stating that the parcel was either lost or destroyed.

If they catch him they should give that fucker the electric chair. I can't even imagine the sort of monster who would steal someone's Warrior Plug. Vile bastard.

Once the infection reaches management levels, curing the disease is borderline impossible because the people responsible for fixing the problem are the criminal ringleaders causing the problem.

Sounds hard to believe---outright Third World-ish---but it's definitely the emerging situation.

I was wondering whether to send another one with something totally useless in the box like an OXO cube! Since the package was tracked it should be relatively easy to establish at which point the theft took place!

Everyone around me knows never to send anything you can identify (checks, gift cards, etc) or ANY form of card like Hallmark (because it can have cash/check in it) anywhere near us if it might go through Memphis. I had to learn the hard way it was not an exaggeration.

From 1985 to 2004 I had a law office in a small town and the only problems I ever had with the post office is sometimes a check to me would mysteriously not arrive or arrive late.:)

One time only, somebody stole a rent check to me from a rural mailbox and cashed it at Bolivar.

When the culprit was caught it was the grandson of the man who helped my mother and me by harvesting all the crops the fall of 1971 when my father died, and he refused even money for fuel.

I considered that an overdue favor returned.

A job with the United States post office is a lifetime position, well paid, with a good retirement.

Maybe a postal employee would risk that for a plug of tobacco, but not many.

Constitutionally sanctioned, it is the only form of communication guarded by very strict laws. If you capture someone's emails and read them, it's really up to you to take them to court. But, if you can show that someone else opened that mailbox in front of your house the USPO will prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
Thankfully, I have never had my mail tampered with, and certainly it has never been stolen. Every bill I have paid by mail has arrived over my entire lifetime.
When in business, I would ONLY ever consider using the USPO to handle jewelry, gold, and gemstones that had to be shipped.

I'm not saying that it never happens, just that it has never happened to me. And, quite a few times, they've delivered packages worth over $100K to my door, with a signature of course.

I hate this for the guy who lost that plug of tobacco, but maybe his punishment should be that he will now have to smoke that tobacco. puffy
