Today is the 100th birthday of Naval Station Great Lakes, the US Navy's only basic training site. But this is my 100th post. hazzah!

Basic in Orlando for me Oct-Dec 71, then on to NTC Great Lakes for Machinist Mate "A" School.

I did my Basic Training at San Diego, back in 1976.

What months were you in SD? I got there in Oct 76 to the USS Pintado at Ballast Point; my last year in, seperated in August 77 from 32nd Street.
