I've had an awful week. We had our dog sterilised and at the same time a lump removed from her chest (fat, not the c-kind). Because of all the medicins and stress her tummy got upset and she hasn't been able to do a number 2 for four days. She's been crying and whining and generally been miserable.
Last night was really bad. At 4am I took her out and she was finally able to poop. And then again at 7am. Now she is almost back to normal.
I think I'll finally be able to relax tonight and have bowl. Haven't done that all week.
Here she is:

Wow, what an ordeal! It's a terrible thing to watch a pet suffer, partly because the don't know what's happening to them. You did what she needed you to do, and that was to be with her while she recovered. I'm glad to hear that she's doing better. Enjoy your well-deserved rest and have a very merry Christmas.

Nothing like a good dog, good pipe, and a good poop. Glad it's going good for You now.

Our pets are like children to most of us. We nurture and provide for them and we hurt when they do. I'm glad she's better now.

Thank you. Yes, she is much better. She is playing with her favorite toy now and I'm about to light up a bowl with UF in my Peterson zulu. :)

Ugh. How awful for you and your dog. I'm glad she's feeling better. I can't imagine not going for 4 days...

Crikeys moses, I hope threads like this are restricted only to the constricted bowels of pets, 'coz y'all will be in diabolical trouble if we oldies start following suit. Backs out shaking head .... might go & give the Mastiffs an anal gland emptying to ensure optimal resistence to this dreadful condition.

It shouldn't be troublesome for our older members - doesn't tobacco help when it comes to being "backed up"?
I empty her glands myself too, aussielass. It is not our favorite activity together. :|
