As some might remeber, I got lucky in guessing for the draw that forum memeber beefeater33 had for a 30+ year old tin of Mac Baren Burley London Blend.
The tin arrived this afternoon and I decided to document the box opening. I wont bore you all with the carboard box, but here are some pics of the tin.
The first thing that struck me is the tin note. Its similar to Golden Extra, but the years have definitely mellowed it. I smell molasses, chocolate and something I can't really identify, but good Lord, it smells heavenly. The broken flake is much darker than the Golden Extra I have from the last year or so.
I'm thinking I will smoke the first bowl of this nectar smelling tobacco tonight and try to time mid bowl flavour for midnight.
Once again, a very heartfelt thank you to beefeater33 (Matt). I'll report on the smoke tomorrow.
