Hello everyone I'm back to my pipes after a 30 year hiatus and my how things have changed. This site appears to be one of the benefits of the world shrinking before our very eyes however the more one sees, the larger it once again becomes. I have some catching up to do and this seems like the perfect place for it.

Welcome from the middle of my kitchen!
Yes, some veterans say that the pipe landscape has changed, but much better now due to the wide array of blends now available. Yes you have some catching up to do!
I'm guessing you are in Saskatchewan.

Welcome aboard. You really have us intrigued. Whereabouts and how remote? Decades ago, I spent eight months on Midway Island, a remote island of the Hawaiian chain, as far from Honolulu as it is from New York City to Omaha Nebraska. We desalinated our water and depended on a logistics flight once a week. Many wonderful sea birds and terns. That was pretty remote.

Welcome from the middle of the middle! Yeah, I had a couple of decades to catch up on too when I started back. Trade-off of more intriguing stuff but less of it. Not sure I prefer either era over the other, but since I don't really have a choice, it doesn't much matter!

It may be a long walk from the middle of nowhere to the nearest internet connection.
