A whole lot of our “news” is actually “news entertainment” masquerading as news.
I’m a sucker for it, I admit.
Dr. John Forsyth was a busy man. He worked long hours as an ER doc at a hospital, had 8 children by his first wife (he’d divorced twice) and a pregnant fiancé, and was freshly ordered to pay his ex $19,000 a month in child support and alimony, which he didn’t contest.
But after his shift at the ER ended on May 21, security footage showed him leaving his wallet, two cell phones, and a laptop in his unlocked car and walking away into the darkness.
9 days later his dead body was found floating in Beaver Lake Arkansas, an hours drive south over twisty roads from Cassville. He’d been shot.
If it’s a suicide, he didn’t fly to Beaver Lake.
And if it’s a murder, who would he get in a car with without wallet or cell phone?
Somebody he knew, much too well.
Don’t you love a mystery?
