Well the Smoky Mountain Custom General took a good portion of my day, and several outings, to finish.
Now keeping it smokey with some 1940 Blue Boar tobacco I was gifted in a customized MM Country Gentleman with three knuckle bamboo shank and blue and white swirl Lucite stem.

huntertrw, having never experienced it before I did not know what to expect. A poster on another forum who has smoked it quite a bit stated he found it edgy and a bit rough, I found that to be how it was for me as well, don't know if 77 years tamed any of those qualities but I won't be in a hurry to find a sealed packet.

Nice pipe smoking adventure. Sounds a little like the Tabolaka air cured burley from Indonesia 4noggins used to carry, although that was probably five or six years old. It was charming, but full-strength and not mild mannered.

I collect Blue Boar tobacco and tins, etc. It seems to fare much better when rehydrated over a week or so. Its getting harder and harder to find.
