550 paracord pipe wrap

this is an old custombilt pipe. i like it but the bowl gets pretty warm.i use paracord

to wrap knife handles and other stuff.thought i try it on this pipe.works great.i will

see how the bowl looks after a week or to.now i can hold the bowl the whole smoke.

Same here, my custombilt pipe tends to smoke hot also

Nice, one of these days I'm going to make a "survival pipe". Wonder how the nylon cords will hold up to the heat over time ??

Don't know if I would go your route with a hot bowl. An overheated bowl needs to cool down to prevent damage. If you contain the heat by keeping the bowl wrapped you are disregarding the damage the excessive heat may be doing. Sooner or later you probably won't have any further problems with the pipe because you'll be tossing it.

Well... if it smokes hot no matter what, and you like your backy practically on fire... I don't see a problem here. But the pipe won't last as long as it should.
