Tonight's featured guest interview is with Bill Hirsch. Rev. Bill Hirsch (Chinese Dharma Name Xiao Bai Yun) was ordained as a Theravada monk in Thailand in 1964, and as a priest of the White Cloud Buddhist Society in 1990. He is also, of course, a pipe smoker. He is a regular participant in the PipesMagazine Forums using the screen name "4dotsasieni".

We will also have two special pieces of music to celebrate the USA's Independence Day. Tune in a 8 o'clock tonight (eastern US time).

I-tunes or other. I'm not an i-tunes guy, so it was a little bewildering to set it up, but well worth the effort. Most of the details are here:

Good luck 4dot (Bill) - As a closet Buddhist (among other things), I look forward to it!

A great show. I always enjoy reading our brother's posts. And I have a bit of the ol' Dharma in me as well, tho its been years since I've "cultivated the empty field", if you know what I mean.

Wonderful interview 4dot, really enjoyed it. I’m fairly certain I won’t make it to China in this life, but if by some chance I do, I think I’ll steer clear of Hell Town.

That was the first one I've ever tuned in to. You did a great job Bill(if I may call you that). I learned about Buddhism, and a lot more about you. I even do a little meditating from time to time, for anxiety purposes. May you have many more smokes from your 4 dot sasieni!

Another great show. Learned a lot in pipe parts. Loved the interview as I practice Mahayana Buddhism myself. The music was great again as always. Keep the episodes comin'!

Well, I'll save you the trip - here's some pix of the main attraction:

Wow...great photos, fascinating place. Thanks for the link 4dot.
The Devil Hotel is very interesting...looks like it goes right down into the hillside. I’m thinking you can check out anytime you like, but leaving could be a problem.

Great show! Very interesting interview 4dot -thanks. I also liked Brian's pipe parts segment. I agree that a long shanked briar pipe smokes very well.

I also enjoyed Brian's segment in shank size/lemgth/shape; pipe parts is always one of my favorite segments. And I enjoyed the rant: He really was loaded for bear!
