Thanks Peck! Every time I place an order, stuff I want to get comes back in stock the next day. If Esoterica shows up tomorrow...

Just got in under the wire, thanks to peck. SJF 250g, FVF 250 g, MVF, 250g, plus I added a tub of Walnut and CH. Whoa, mama ain't gonna like this!

The Perique in St. James Flake is much more than a condiment -- it's a central component.

I wager you'll fall in love with this masterful accomplishment: smooth, balanced, and with

great clarity of flavor. It's what other Perique flakes aspire to be. It's more fruit-like than peppery.

Like FVF, however, it is a bit fussy. The thickness of the flakes can vary, and it's dark and moist.

Don't expect a grassy Va-forward flake like Escudo. This is livin' and lovin' on the dark side!

It's more like FVF in handling and appearance than it is like BBF and MVF.

But I got a feeling you're gonna love it, and put up with the futzing around.
ps. I know what you mean about FVF. I have ~ 8 oz., and that'll be a lifetime supply for me.

roth, I have found SJF much easier to deal with than FVF. I consider it to be the exact same as Best Brown in terms of smoking properties and ease of preparation. It is a very different taste in comparison to Escudo, as Cortez says, not as peppery and more fruit like which is a great description.
