Tried this today and like as well as University flake. They are quite similar in flavor to each other. However 3P is a pain to prepare and because of that I won't buy it again. But if you don't mind the prep time you'll like it a lot. Good nic hit for bed time sleep deep my brothers.

I have a tin of both 3Ps and University Flake, but I've yet to crack either one open. I've heard good stuff about both. What issues did you have with 3Ps in preparing it for a smoke?

You have to slice it with a real sharp knife as its very dense. I have arthritis in my hands so its hard to slice through it for me. After that its like any other flake for cube cutting. Its tasty for sure but to my taste will just stick with UF after I'm through with this tin.

I like playing with plugs, the risk of cutting off a finger adds to the excitement of prepping it. 3P is a tasty blend and I think it will age very well.
Mustang, get someone to prep a few plugs for you and then jar it up already cubed. I also like University Flake but enjoy the differences between the two so I smoke both.

I posted a review of 3P's at Luxury Tobacco Reviews
Good review Cortez, I think I'll pass on this one without trying it for myself. I don't want to spend the preperation time required, and there are others mentioned that are easier to prep.

The Peterson's Perfect Plug is a fine tobacco, one of my favorites. I enjoy the prep work. It is a hard plug so it slices well. I also like the University Flake and I cellar both.

This sounds intriguing....I've never smoked a plug. Great....now I'm going to have to try ANOTHER new blend....you guys are horrible enablers. When I signed onto this forum 3 months or so ago, I only smoked TWO blends for years. Now, I have over a dozen in mason jars to smoke thru and there are at least a dozen more that I want to try. While, true that Cortez gave me most of them (Thanks again!), I love all of them, and will replenish each one as it runs out! I still smoke my regulars every day, but it is a lot of fun to have a "special" bowl each day of something different!
