2nd Barling 1st Acorn

I've always been fond of a brandy or a dublin shaped bowl. I like the way a Brandy fits in my hand, and the conical shape of the Dublin seems to make the tobacco burn better, to me anyway.

My Daughter and Granddaughter gave me this Barling acorn for Father's Day, my Granddaughter picked it out because "it looked like an upside-down bell". It is the first time I've ever had an acorn, and it seems to be the best of both worlds, I really enjoy the way it smokes and think everyone should own at least one.

Thank you: She is all about Grandpa having a pipe she likes, she bought me a green Mr. Brog Old Army because it looked Christmasy.

I got the acorn label from smoking pipes, but after looking at Barling's site the 6059 is a bell, maybe she should be working @Smokingpipes identifying shapes. LOL

Well they are trying to sell the pipes. If a shape isn't common I guess they have to play the who would like this shape.
Personally I have always thought genre and things like shape names were for sellers to help them find buyers. Example music is music but if like this band you might be more inclined to like another band that has superficial similarities in style.
Or I agree but their job is just to make money by getting us stuff we want. So I'll roll my eyes and hope no one cites them as a source.
Seriously I they called my one pipe an Om Paul. It's not but I guess it's close enough.
