I won the Powerball last week, and decided this morning to spend my winnings on a pipe tamper.
A very special pipe tamper, obviously. A guy I know's friend's mother's uncle heard someone say that it had once been owned buy a guy who lived in North Dakota, and I know for a fact that a girl who petted Sixten Ivarsson's granddaughter's Malamute in a dog park in 1997 was BORN in North Dakota. So, duh, right?
Knowing all that---and had you just won $220 mil---I'm sure you would have had to own it too.
Ready? Here it is: 8)

Here
It looks too big.
On my screen, it's about 8" long and the blade is wider than most of my chambers.
Maybe you can split it vertically and have two $110M tampers?
Congrats, though...

George, better keep the records for later when you sell at it.
Chasing - I'd say by the style and shape it's probably a very rare Ma Deinc Hina one. I am sure I have one similar, but it was a knock of done by CZ Ech. ;)

After all the fuss on that other thread about the Chronograph (Cartographer? Curmugeon? something like that) pipe, I'm glad to see everyone now gets it. $6500 for one of those just doesn't have enough scale of contrast to be truly memorable, while 220 mil for a couple inches of 3rd rate Asian aluminum absolutely does. :D
This is such a happy day! Not only did winning the lottery allow me to buy the tamper of my dreams, but I've personally witnessed The World of Pipe Smokers evolve to a higher plane of artistic understanding in a single afternoon.

Such fine craftsmanship, who's the artisan?
Behold the man himself at work...he also transforms the shovel concept into these breathtaking works of art:

What a waste of money! Just use rolled up 100 dollar bills like the rest of us!

After examining it closely on my iPhone screen I can definitely state that is a copy of the original. I see "cosmic's" tool marks all over it. I doubt it ever saw North Dakota.
Moneys well spent otherwise. Although someone will no doubt say you are sick. But, you were mostly likely a bit askew before the big win.

Could someone please calculate how many cobs could be purchased for that money? Or supercars, whichever is easier.

Perhaps his most peculiar expense is the $5 million he says he spent to fulfill friend Hunter S. Thompson's dream of having his ashes "blast from a specially made cannon" over Aspen, Colorado, following the writer's death in 2005.

You just gotta forgive all of the other excesses because of that.

I feel bad. I use a piece of spent fuel rod from the Nautilus nuclear sub that helped propel the boat under the North Pole. It really pales in comparison to that objet de art.
