So comparing the last batch 2022 to the 2021 batch?

Just the 2021 in general. Compare to 2022 if you’d like, or to other burley blends as a whole. Doesn’t matter either way, I’m just curious.

I’m not in a hurry to pop one of these tins. Just wondering if I should be.

Reading TR reviews now.

**Edit - looks like the 2022 was way better than the 2021, according to TR. I’ve never really paid too attention there, but that is intriguing.

I bought 5 tins each of the 2021 & 2022 release and if they release it again this year I’ll get 5 more. It’s unique and if you like burleys with a little sweetness it’s good stuff. Haven’t tried all the burley blends out there but the addition of the red Virginia and orientals make it unique and worth trying.

As a new pipe smoker, I don't have any of this tobacco, but I have heard so many great reviews that I went searching for it and thought I had missed my opportunity. I didn't realize it was an annual blend, so I will keep an eye open for the 2023 blend.

Wow. That's a lot. I have four left. It is a decent burley for sure.

I have a thing with buying things. And, to be fair, I didn’t know that it was going to be an annual release at that time. I’d just discovered BMP and this seemed like it’d be another winner in that same realm. That was the result, apparently. I’d honestly forgotten about them.

Meh. Seems to be a typical OTC-style blend with significant topping (to my taste) and a premium pricetag. The tobaccos may be higher quality than your typical OTC blend, but then again, they may not as the flavor is basic. The only thing to make it stand out, I guess, is the premium pricetag, since you can get the same experience from a number of cheaper blends. I'd agree with Chasingembers' assessment of this being no more than a SWR clone.

Similar to the above, if anyone wants to trade for tins if this, let me know.

Take mine instead, mine are more shiny...🤣🤣

I didn't get anything like SWR tastes from mine. It is cased, but not the same as SWR for me. The main difference between this and an OTC, for me, is that an OTC would leave my palate taxed and burned out from the PGs and cheap stuff.

Yeh, I didn't understand why he used such delicate tasting burleys and then seemed to feel the need to case it. How am I supposed to taste all 8 states?
