2015 KC Carving Contest Photos

At long last we can release the photos from the pipes entered in the 2015 KC Pipe Carving Contest. I have 36 pictures to upload so this can take a while. First the winning pipes in a spectacular Neil Yarm case

Okay on to the pipes. As I said before there is nothing meaningful in the order in which I am doing this. Don't try to read any meaning in to that. Do to the orientation of the pipe during photography some will look quite a bit bigger than others. Once again, nothing meaningful in that.

Thanks for sharing all of the pics Ghost, really nice to see them all online.
BHD, I don't know this, but I'm assuming the drilling on Micahs pipe is Cavelier style, with an airway going through to the removable base, and the tobacco chamber connected to that airway through a seperate hole. I don't know that for a fact, but I assume it would be disqualified otherwise, and I can see how he could fit the drilling into the shape.

Thanks for the pics Ghost!! Stunning pipes indeed. My favorite is Clark Layton's pipe. I have looked at a different set of pictures of his entry and it blew me away. That man is quite amazing, IMHO, and how he took the Serpentade to a new level with the Cavalier aspect I feel was awesome.

Excellent craftsmanship by these pipe makers, but I would never own any of them as I'm not a fan of this shape/style at all. Congrats to the winners.
