2014 Kansas City Pipe Show Report by Pylorns

I have personally written A LOT of pipe show reports in the past few years. I have to admit that after a while, it gets harder and harder to write them after you've been to the same shows several times. In the past couple of years, most of the reports were written by other people where I procured their services to do so.
I didn't have a chance to find someone to do a write-up on the Kansas City show. However, on Sunday late afternoon, a bunch of guys were sitting outside smoking their pipes, including me. Pylorns is sitting to the left of me, and the conversation went like this.
Pylorns: "Kevin, are you doing a write-up on the show?
Kevin: "Nope."
Pylorns: "Is someone else doing a write-up on the show?"
Kevin: "Nope."
Pylorns: "Do you want me to do a write-up on the show?"
Kevin: "Yep."
And he did a fantastic job of writing and photographing it as well.

Each time I read the write up and see the pics from these shows I get the convention itch. It'll be a couple years until maybe I get to scratch it in Vegas or KC.
Looks like you guys had a great time and chose wisely to go looking for good food. I like your thinking.

The camaraderie and good times will take everything you love about pipes to a whole new level.

You don't need to spend a ton of money to have a good time either, just bring a pipe and have a good time.

Great writeup, and congratulations to Ryan Alden lonestar for first place! That'll show those young whippersnappers. Looks like a blast; hope you guys don't have to eat macaroni and cheese for the next two months. BTW Ryan, the back of your head is the best part.
