I have been to the show the last several years. The number of artisan pipe makers who attend is quite good (Adam Davidson, Joe Nelson, Andy Peterson, Colin Rigsby, Eric Heberling, Joe Skoda, Premal Chheda, Russ Cook, Scott Holtman, Bob Gilbert, Steve Morrisette, Scott Thile, Olie Sylevster etc.) were all there last year. We had excellent vendor representation in Steve Monjure, Sally Gottliebsen, Rod Margherio, Bob Lawing, McClelland Tobacco, Brian Levine of Brigham Pipes, etc. I know I have left people out of these lists.
Our guest speaker will be Greg Pease.
Kevin Godbee will be there. Tad Gage and Fred Hanna will be there. Craig Cobine, the man behind the Chicago Show, will be there.
We will also be having our fourth annual Pipe Carving Contest. There are usually 40-50 pipes submitted for the judging. Pipes not selected to be in the Seven Day Set will be available for sale.
Their will be presentations on pipe refurbishing, the basics of smoking a pipe, a slow smoking contest, and a monster Grand raffle. Friday night there is a nice buffet followed by a big social gathering out in the smoking pavilion. Saturday their is a banquet followed by a big social gathering in the smoking pavilion. The smoking pavilion is open to all at no charge throughout the show.
