2012 Throwdown!

Last year when they did the Balkan Sobranie Throwdown at the Chicago Show, I was HOPING they'd make it a regular event. Well, it looks like they have!

Looking forward to the results. I'm excited to see Leonard is one of the blenders. Maybe Lane will get back to some of their old blends that so many of us miss.

This is really a cool event. You do wish more blenders could be part of a "throwdown" but that probably isn't practical.

I am very happy to hear this news. John Cotton 1&2 medium was my favorite. I hope that it meets what I remember of this fine tobacco. WOW! :worship:

Cool that they are doing this. Unfortunate that I've never heard of the target blends before, though. One of the problems with being new to the hobby, I guess.

I've still got an unopened tin of H&H Black House that I haven't tried yet... Maybe on May 5th I'll crack it open. Haha.
Can't wait to try the winner's blend of this tobacco I've heard nothing about because I'm just a pup in a junkyard of bones. :nana:

Spartan - if you open that Black House, here's a fair warning. You'll have finished the tin within 2 weeks and be putting in an order for 1 lb of it. I'm giving you 2 weeks because we have 2 smokers here and ours only lasted a week.
