2008 Peterson POTY Oddity

Came across this 2008 Peterson POTY on MBSD and the stem seems off. From what my poor google skills tell me, Peterson has never used a foil P on the stem but instead has always done the aluminum insert. Thoughts? Factory replacement stem?

That's not foil, it's paint.

Lots of Petes get the paint-filled-impression logo.

I had a sandblasted version of this pipe and the logo and stem looked the same as this one

Yep, that’s a paint filled P. It’s correct.

After digging more, and talking with them, it looks like Peterson actually stamped the stem both ways. How odd?
