Wow, love em. I've yet to jump on purchasing any Stanwell's, but seeing these might change my mind

Congrats - those are both fine looking pipes! Can't go wrong with Stanwell or Savinelli.

I'm always thinking about getting a bamboo stemmed pipe, but just haven't pulled the trigger yet! Both Stanwell and Tsuge have great selections I believe. Congrats on both and wish you many happy smokes!

Both estates, the Stanwell @ $88 and the Sav @ $76. I am a sucker for a reasonably priced estate in nice shape. The same Stanwell new is not a cheap pipe @ appx $250. I check out the usual suspects, Pulvers Briar, James Island Piper (where these are from) and Viking club pipes as well as a few others and ebay. Ebay IMHO can easily get over priced and unless you know the seller can be a junk pipe. Anything coming from Pulvers etc is always described well and I think fairly priced.

Both are great looking pipes. The Stanwell has some awesome looking grain and the blast on the Sav is really well done. You did great on the prices, congrats on your latest acquisitions, I hope they both smoke great for you.

Congratulations on your new pipes. I hope you enjoy them for many years.
James Island Piper is a good place to buy from. He also offers a discount to members of NASPC.

If you are not already a member you may want to look into becoming one. They have a great bi monthly publication and many business offer discounts which more than pay for the cost of membership.

I went ahead and did the membership. Seems like a good enough idea and the discounts are always nice.

Love the second pipe, rx2man, and the shape as well. I have two stanwell's, both fantastic smokers. Not a huge fan of the 9mm filter, but not a dealbreaker as of course, you can smoke without them just fine.

Both are nice looking, the Savinelli has briar inlaid in the stem which I found interesting.
