1st Pouch of SWR

I picked up my first pouch of SWR a couple days ago and when I opened it it seemed a lot dryer than any tobacco I have ever bought, almost "crispy". Is this normal for SWR or did I most likely get some old baccy?

Weird, I would look for a damaged pouch.

them things will normally keep forever.

SWR is usually good toby.

It's normal. The first pouch I bought, I thought the exact same thing. It looked like crunchy granola. Every single pouch of SWR I've bought is like that and I've talked to many that have smoked SWR for years and all have said that's just the way it is and always has been.

Mine was like that, too. As OTCs go, SWR isn't bad. Tastes real good in a clay or a cob.

It tends to be on the dry side, though once in a while I'll get a pouch that's a little dryer than normal.
