I was on CompuServe starting in 1992. Hung out on the brewing, bees and cigar forums mostly. There was a very low S/N ratio back then, lots of good info and knowledgeable, friendly people. A lot like this forum without all the social media graphics and built-in "love, like. smile" crap that distills your emotions down to some cartoon heads.
I can still hear that modem chirping.
