1970s Dunhill Root Briar

Smoking my 1970s decade made Dunhill Root Briar. I didn't understand the concept or the idea of a birthday pipe, until I just told myself to get a Dunhill from the year I was born awhile back. It is a nice smoker.
Does anyone know anything or anywhere where I can read up on the Root Briar pipes? I would be interested in a book or a web site to read about it, etc...
