More Tanshell Love. 8)
1969 was near the end of the "old ways" at Dunhill regarding wood match-up to finish, slender stems, and a vast array of shapes, but some really nice stuff was still being produced routinely. (Later, good specimens became more hit-and-miss)
The 137 is as elegant as a Bing, I think, with more attitude. One of my favorite shapes for sure. They were fairly popular so not too hard to find in the estate market today.
Having equal character & texture on both sides of a Tanshell is usually the challenge. This one scores an 8.5 or 9.0 in that department, I think.
