Dunhill's shape 56 is proportionately identical to the 120 while being three-fourths its size (just over 5 inches and 41 grams). I always thought of it as the 120's "mini me".
This one's date stamp makes it a fiddy-six from fiddy-six. 8)
Like pretty much every Tanshell, it's a wonderful smoker. Light and comfy.
It has a cigarette burn along the bottom, but other than that is in good shape.

If I ever get a Dunhill, it will be that shape.
Here ya go:  (looks to be an excellent specimen, too)

Very nice pipe. I was never a fan of the Tanshell finish until I actually got one, changed my mind right then and there.
Do you have any Cumberland with a polished top?

Not a one. Simply a case of too many pipes & too little time (and money  ), so I arbitrarily limited my collecting to the "original four" finishes of the patent era: Shell, Tanshell, Bruyere, and Root
