Got this 1940s-50s Peterson Killarney "Natural" on ebay for $29. Finally finished the clean up. Had some close calls with this pipe, almost sanded a bit too much at the edge of the shank, but was able to pull myself from the point of no return! Very happy with this purchase. Gave a nice sweet smoke. The pipe needed very little cleaning all in all.
BEFORE:
This is the seller's photo. A little blurry, but pretty accurate:

AFTER:
The grain on this pipe is plenty gorgeous. Buffed it by hand using some carnauba. Just shy of 6" and weighs a mere 1.2 oz.

Thanks Matt - much appreciated. For a little while I was afraid I screwed up, but fortunately no harm done. I tend to rush sometimes - my achilles heel!

six, that came out freaking great, looks like a brand new pipe. Glad to hear you enjoy how it smokes. You should keep your eyes open for some old Peretti Straight Grains, they can be had for a good price and they are great smokers.
