This was a sort of birthday present. I’d seen this on yahoo auction Japan for many months for about 110$. I couldn’t justify spending the dough as money is tight for us but I did get cash for my b-day (55yrs 7/13, yeah do we still want to remember at this point?). This is a 1920 BBB Own Make. I wonder why no one bid on this? People here in Japan bid on every other kind of pipe under the sun. Of course they love their Duns and their Danish fare. Am I missing something? I thought about this a bit, as I won’t be able to buy another pipe for a while. I wanted history. Of course it only matters that I like it, and I do. The mouth piece is especially interesting. I’m sorry I forgot to take better pictures of that. It’s almost orific but not quite. It’s a strange shape with a flat part under the slot. I am curious why this sat around the auction without being bought for so long. This seems to be a quality pipe. Does anyone have anything they can tell me, beyond what’s on pipedia, about this era of BBB? Anyone have one of these?
