Please tell me someone here snagged this 1914 GBD that was on Ebay this AM. The seller had it listed for a $100 BIN or Best offer. It appears the best offer was accepted. I would have loved to snagged this one.

That one and the BBB Own Make by the same seller were both on my watch list. Wasn't sleepy ol' me, I'm afraid. Both should clean up nicely either for fun or profit.

Not me. I didn't even see it. None of the key title words matched my usual searches. You'd think the word "silver" would have come after "Sterling". I'd have seen it then. I like a little flash on a pipe. :puffy:

A century old pipe with outstanding grain and some serious silver work, not bad. As someone who buys pipes to smoke, I'm not sure I'd have bid. It's a handsome old piece, but I'd be concerned about restoring and preserving it, and maybe not smoking it so much.
