12 pipe set of Peterson's

If anyone has approx $2800.00 you could be the proud owner of this cased 12 pipe set from the 1930's. e-bay # 301862392514. They are being offered by mw-estate-pipes.

That is a very interesting set, but not from the 1930's. The are rather reproductions of 1930's shapes, similar to the Patent Reproduction sets/pieces. It's been up a few time, unsold at $3700 (2x's),$3300 and $3100. Estate Reproductions got for $150 or so. As such, maybe $1800 to $2000 for the set is reasonable,so he's getting closer.

Appreciate the update. I primarily collect Charatan's, as so I don't know much about other makes. I did get a B grade Upshall at what I considered a reasonable price from him.

Spot on Al, these sets were made in the 1990s. You don't see them come up often, not a whole set anyways.
Nice set, but not at that price for me.
