12 Pipe Rack Modded

I was running out of room on my 6 pipe rack so I found another similar style rack with 12 slots. My larger, bent pipes never fit the holes well, so like on my smaller rack, I just cut out the holes to make elongated slots. I sanded smooth and applied a little Old English to each cut. Now I'm ready for a few more pipes. I'll use the 6-slot rack for just my English made pipes.

Very nice! I need to do that do one I have like that and then I have one of those round table stand/ashtray holders that I need to cut out slots.

I really need to get a nice pipe stand. as is I only have a stand that accommodates 3

Wife is a doily fan, she's happy, I'm happy.....
My next project is a wall mount display. My wife's grandfather made some workshop drawers using old water tower wood from defunct railroad towers (tore down in the early 70's). When they sold his house, I saved four of the drawers. I have one in our basement rec/pool room as a shadow box display for my old British knights from when I was a kid. I have three left and will configure a way to make a wall display from at least one.

I did the same thing to one of mine (cut holes into slots) but I didn't do as good a job as you did, SS. Well done!

I did the first one, my 6-pipe with a jigsaw. This second one, I took apart and cut the slots with a band saw, much better and easier finish.
