Rode hard and abused. But it has a second life. I wish the stampings were a bit clearer. It would be nice to know the age.

    Ten Minute Tiny Pipes

I have a group one Dunhill that I picked up for 40 bucks. I had to top like 1/4 inch off the top to clean it up. It smokes like a dream tho.

It's not the pipe I'm worried about. I'm worried about losing it. Ask me where my 1986 Dunhill shell briar with Cumberland is. No clue. I lost it somewhere. Hence nice pipes stay in the house 98% of the time

I get ya, but don't get me wrong I support a ton of artisans. But at the same time, I'm not going to take a $900 artisan pipe fishing... I would say probably about 85-90% of my pipes are artisan pipes, and of that at least 75% are American artisan

My sleeper is a 50 dollar handmade cheapie from HS studio. Their pipes can be hit or miss depending on who carved it. This one has simply amazing button work. It rivals some of my $400+ pipes

New Pipe Days are the Best: J. Alan Squashed Apple and Nate King Tomato.

Thank you! I smoke all of my pipes, currently smoking that J Alan one. There is only one pipe I own that will most likely remain unsmoked. Its another J alan. However, the thing is massive. Almost the size of my steering whee. I'm pretty sure it will hold at least an ounce of tobacco. lol

I Finally Broke Down And Bought A Meerschaum Pipe

Good looking pipe. I love me some meers. A bit fragile, but a great smoking experience IMO

New pipe days are the best. J. Alan Squashed Apple and Nate King Tomato. I was originally only planning on getting the Nate King Tomato. Something about that deep deep blast is just amazing. However; when I saw the J Alan I couldn't decide which one I wanted so yolo. Why not both? lol. Please...

    Sidelined by Carter Hall

Man, I tried to like carter hall. I really did. I just can't with it. I've tried it in so many different pipe, I've tried it at different moisture levels. All tasted terrible to me.

    Show Off Your Kaywoodie Pipes

Kaywoodie did not manufacture 4-holed stingers after the war that is accurate. However, you can find pipes made in the early 60s that were made with a 4-hole stinger. I had a NOS 50s woodie unsmoked that had a 4-hole stinger. That is a lovely KB&B Standard, however, what I said before still is...

Totally understand where you're coming from and in general I will always give the benifit of the doubt. Here is why I think it was intentional. Where did they get the 1935-1938 date range? the only two places I found were reborn pipes and the Taptalk forum. So they also saw the later date...
