Let's Have Some Fun! Tobaccos You HATE!
Sail. I didn't like it too much. I finished the pouch though. I'm surprised so much dislike for Grousemoor. I kinda like it. At 15 or 16 when I started smoking the pipe I really liked Carter Hall. Today at 66 I buy a pouch every now and then and it just doesn't have the same rich taste it...- xoran

Pipe rest?
I let my briars rest a week or two. I have enough pipes to do that. But as Number 6 said sometimes with my favorite pipes I only give them a day or two. I give my meers, sometimes, only about an hour or two. The same with my cobs.- xoran

Suitable Solvents for Pipe Cleaning?
Back in the 70's I actually used Listerine. I don't remember having adverse effects. For the past few years I've been using Henessy Cognac. I know it is not very high proof, but it seems to work pretty good.- xoran

Corncob Pipe Bowls
Thank you for the positive information, y'all. I feel ready to buy some new ones now. I've gotten to where I really like a corncob bowl or two of burley every morning with coffee. But the small bowls just didn't last long enough and they tended to heat up a bit toward the bottom. Thanks...- xoran
