New FDA Regs; What Isn't Affected?
I think it's important to note that the pre 2007 still includes wording that original packaging must be kept or the retailer is considered a manufacturer. For those playing along at home, we do now accept paypal. We are also set up for eventual ACH if PayPal gets tagged as well. We did choose not to activate Mastercard- hotlips

Mastercard has, correct. According to Mastercard this is a "verbal policy" meaning it is not fully documented. This is a potential work around. Thanks! You can call in orders anytime between 10 AM and 7 PM M-Saturday and we will answer. Sunday is a bit more flexible as sometimes it's harder to get someone on the phone when hours are shorter and games are on- hotlips

The $500 doesn't feel good, but that is a cost of business. They have on file prof and opinions that we area legal shop and I can even understand calling that a PITA fee for high risk companies. I explained this up a bit - we are apparently in danger with any cards according to the advice we have caught because Mastercard flagged us as selling an unacceptable item. In hindsight, it would have been a good idea to remove MC before this happened and saved the headache for us and everyone...- hotlips

For a large part, this is correct. I think the biggest hole is that they have declared a product nonsalable in addition to considering the account high risk. I am having trouble coming up with a good analogy. Maybe in porn - You can be a high risk porn account and be approved for porn sales...- hotlips

We follow all of the retail rules. The online rule that we unknowingly violated was no sales of pipe tobacco no face to face.
