What Brought You To The Pipe?

After abstaining from all forms of tobacco for 2-3 years to get off the cigs, I got a Pipes and Cigars catalog, got the pipe bug and immediately ordered 2 ounces of tobacco (Just to see if I really wanted to stick with it). I have missed the feeling of calmness that pipe smoking brings to me...

    Traveling By Air

Hi guys, I am going to be travelling by air to Colorado on Sunday, and was wondering how I should pack my pipes and tobacco? I want the least amount of trouble from the TSA agents. I know there is a pilot on this forum but I don't know his name. If he could comment it would be most helpful...

    Looking for More Burley Blends

I'd have to second Down by the River by 4noggins. In my limited experience with burleys, I would say that is my favorite one.

    AM Pipe & Coffee

Since I am sensitive to caffeine, I drink either oolong or black (PGtips) tea in the morning with my first pipe of the day. No coffee for this one..... I guess the English in my genes has finally poked its head out

    Matches?

I use Diamond Greenlight matches unless it is blowing heavily, then its time for a bic. I used to use an old Colibri pipe lighter from my Grandfather but the thing started to constantly leak fluid, so it had to be retired.

    Hand Crafted Pipe Rack

What a great looking pipe rack bullbriar! It looks ten times better than some of the really expensive racks available online. Never would have thought to include felt bottoms, great job! (Noticed that you have the same pull apart bolt lighter as me :-) )

    Antibiotics Changing Taste?

Late last week I went to the local "doc-in-the-box" for nasal congestion, and was diagnosed with a sinus infection. I was given some antibiotics and a nasal spray. Soon after popping my second pill I noticed my pipe tobacco was tasting flat and off. I was wondering if anyone else has had the...

    Surprise Tobacco Inheritance

Today my family went to see my Grandfather who doesn't have much more time in this realm. My Grandfather and I started talking about pipes when he paused, and took me into his room and got out his pipe tobacco (which he hasn't touched in a looooong time) and pipes. He told me he wanted me to...
