Grabbed the lion meer. Seems it has a small draft hole, but I'll get over it. Sang to me for $25.

    Ashton Pebble Grain~125

Al, have you seen Ser Jacopo's bent series with the white stems? They go for quite a chunk of change, but the contrast really makes them pop. http://www.smokingpipes.com/pipes/new/ser-jacopo/moreinfo.cfm?product_id=86893

    What's the deal with Pokers?

I know. What's with those pokers just sitting there all beautiful like on tables without a pipe stand? How dare they entice me by sending me pictures of themselves. I'd like to see them give me those looks in person. One day I'll own you all. One day.

What year does the date code correspond to? And that is a beautiful shank/stem combo.

    Ashton Pebble Grain~125

Al, the thing that gets me with Jimmy Craig more than anything is the fact that he undercuts his vendors on EBay. I mean, why would I buy a pipe from a vendor when I can get it direct from the maker for $75 or so less. That being said, when he sits down and focuses on making a quality...

    Ashton Pebble Grain~125

Al, I have a Jimmy Craig Ashton Billiard, and while it's aesthetically beautiful, it's not the greatest engineered pipe in my collection. If I'd known a bit more about pipes when I purchased it, I would have sent it back in, but being the beginner smoke that I was, I went ahead and smoked her...

    100g

Like Cortez said, if I'm smoking SG Flakes, I could smoke 2 50g tins in 3 days or so without trying hard. But if I'm smoking, say, a 100g Mac Baren ribbon cut blend, it would take me upwards of a week to smoke the same amount.

    McCranie's

I meant strong as in both the nicotine level, and the actual flavor of the tobacco. I guess ranging from let's say Orlik GS to FVF. I appreciate VA's from all ends of the spectrum, but I prefer those in the middle. And the way you're describing the Red Ribbon reminds me of McClelland's Red Cake...

    McCranie's

I now feel compelled to buy 5 tins of the Red Flake. How is the actual strength of the VAs?

    Cavicchi Craveings!

They sound amazing. How do they compare to a Ferndown or a Castello in the same price range? Trying to figure out where to put it on my list of 'must-have' brands.

    New Briar Bid listings

Yavuz, I have one of Ed's tamps right now and its absolutely beautiful. For sure some of the best looking tamps you can get in the price range. I'll probably buy a few more for when I go out on the town. I'll get to choose a pipe, tamp, and tobacco that suits my suit and event.

    Cavicchi Craveings!

That's a hell of a volcano, Lawrence. Kind of a mixture between a poker and a volcano. I might be in the market for one, soon. Are they drilled well and smoke cool?

I'm glad to hear they were able to get everything back not normal with their credit card sales. I'll be ordering something from them soon via Paypal since all I have is a MasterCard.

Didn't know you were at 200 Grabows. That's a hell of a collection. One of these days I'll own one of your pipes. Actually, I wish I'd bought that churchwarden you sold a couple of months ago for my father. One day. Haha.
