I can definitely agree with you hence why I didn't just put the flame on the tobacco to lit it. As for now tho I am a complete beginner and I am still unable to smoke a whole bowl without relighting it. I did exactly what you mentioned in your reply. The pipe had rested several days, it was clean and ready to go. The bowl wasn't hot at all. I wonder why my pipes are made for filter because I don't think they are. I know 3mm pipes might be more common but I have never heard anyone telling me to use filters in a 9mm, one pipe has also the reductor so it's a 6mm one. I also have the Clan and the Borkum Riff Ruby which is my favourite one of all time. As my first tobacco I had the Skandinavik Vanilla which was so good, but I was probably allergic to it as it fully dried my mouth for a whole week. I haven't smoke vanilla since then- Filippo
