    I like zippo, and to me the smell of fuel is not a big problem. But I really hate to change flint/wick or clean the wheel, so I'm using butane now.

    I Gave Latakia a Fair Try.

    I used to smoke English all the day when just started pipe smoking. But now I smoke Virginia blends instead of English most of the time. And there are some English blends like Ten Russians and Presbyterian are still my favourite, though I don't smoke them that often.

    TBH I do not know if it is real mahogany. I bought it directly from a Turkey pipe website, on which they say it’s a mahogany calabash. Maybe it’s a lie but I do not know how to prove it, so I’d like to call it a “mahogany”. And at least, it is pretty obvious that this pipe is not made of gourd.

    I'm going to smoke opening night in a CPW large mahogany calabash. After like 20 bowls, still I am not used to the smell of mahogany. Sometimes it can enhance the smoke experience, but sometimes it just tastes weird.

    How Long to Rest a Pipe?

    I will put the bowl close to my nose at first. If I can sense some damp smell inside the bowl, which means there is still moisture inside, so I will not smoke it. If the smell is pretty dry, then I will fill it and smoke.

    Does the Quality of a Pipe Increase with its Price?

    I'm smoking my 30$ pipes much more often than those 200$ ones, and I'm really happy about it. Because its fine to drop a 30$ pipe or bite the stem really hard. But when smoking 200$ pipes, I tend to smoking more carefully so my pipe will not get hurt. It may sounds stupid, but at least for me...

    Which GL Pease Should I Buy?

    I’d like to say Spark Plug, it tastes like a stronger version of Gaslight to me. A great balanced English blend with depth and complexity. Highly recommended if you are a latakia lover.

    0～2 bowls on weekdays. Up to 5 bowls on weekends. And I only smoke strong blends on weekends.
